Lecturer in Media and Journalism

Christopher is a Lecturer in Media and Journalism at 91福利 Etihad Campus and an Early Career Member of the Royal Historical Society. He completed his PhD at the University of Sheffield's Department of Journalism Studies, having previously studied for his BA (First Class) in History at the University of Liverpool, before completing his MA in Historical Research, also at Sheffield. He has considerable teaching experiences at secondary, further and higher education, including work with adult special educational needs and widening participation.

Christopher鈥檚 broader research intersects 19th and 20th century histories of newspapers, popular culture and politics. His work also draws on the various fields in which he has lectured and advised, such as research methods, journalism, media studies (particularly digital media) and political communication.
