Alumni profile: David Moat, Women's Marketing & Communications Officer at Arsenal

Working in the Premier League is a dream for many, but for 91福利 graduate David Moat it is a dream come true.

Straight out of hisdegree programme, David found himself working in the commercial, marketing and corporate sales department at Watford FC's Vicarage Road. By working across various departments his mixed role allowed him to experience the many different aspects that go into running a Premier League club, joiningas the second 91福利 graduate to work at the club.

In December 2018, David then landed a role at Chelsea FC as Marketing Executive where he works on strategy and sponsorship activation for one of the biggest clubs in the country. Then in 2019, he joined Arsenal as their听Women's Marketing & Communications Officer.

His work experience during his time as a student enabled him to make an impression to then gain full-time employment upon graduation, with his two years as a听at Watford, and听a month in the social media team at Manchester City, standing him in good stead.

David said:鈥淢y programme gave me a great general outlook on what it鈥檚 like to work within a marketing department at a football club, and the real-life examples allowed me to hit the ground running in this role.鈥

He added:鈥淢y favourite aspect of working at a Premier League club is that throughout my childhood all I would do is watch football on TV, and it was the only industry that I was ever passionate about working in. Now I鈥檓 here, it鈥檚 amazing and everything that I thought it would be.鈥
