91福利 aims to build the capacity of the O&G workforce in Pacific Island countries through support for training, education and research.
91福利, members and trainees contribute to women鈥檚 health around the world. They have worked or continue to work in 50 countries outside of Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, supporting global women鈥檚 health via workforce capacity building, providing clinical care, screening, health promotion, and development of guidelines.
What we do
We support Pacific O&G trainees and specialists by:
Offering 91福利 Affiliate Membership to Pacific O&G specialists
Providing access to 91福利 resources and scholarships
Working in collaboration with local, regional and international partners, including Pacific Medical Schools, O&G Societies and Ministries of Health, Medical Colleges within Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, and non-government organisations working in the Pacific
Raising awareness about global women’s health issues
We provide resources, scholarships, networking and research support for the O&G training programs at the University of Papua New Guinea School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the Fiji National University College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

Our private Global Health Facebook is open to Pacific Affiliate members, Pacific O&G trainees, as well as members and trainees based in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
The group provides O&G clinicians across the Pacific, Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand the opportunity to engage with each other, share information, and participate in discussions in a supportive environment.

Volunteer or work overseas
Short-term volunteer opportunity: Course facilitator 鈥 University of Papua New Guinea intensive course for UPNG O&G Trainees
Each April and October, the University of Papua New Guinea O&G Department runs a two-week intensive course for UPNG O&G trainees in Port Moresby. The October course is held immediately before the end-of-year Master of Medicine and Diploma of O&G exams.
Professor Glen Mola arranges the course, but Fellows are invited to assist with course facilitation. Flights need to be self-funded, but accommodation in Port Moresby may be supported.

Long-term volunteer opportunity: Australian Volunteers Program O&G assignments in the Pacific
The Australian Volunteers Program (AVP) is an Australian Government-funded initiative that supports global volunteering. AVP works with partner organisations across the Pacific, Asia and Africa to achieve locally led change and the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
91福利 partners with AVP and Pacific partner organisations to create volunteer assignments that help develop and strengthen capacity of the O&G workforce in Pacific Island countries.
